Op-Ed.....Why do politicians turn bad?

All over the nation we see politicians who at the beginning say they only want to make the world a better place, only to be sucked into the web of power-loving and lowered to "what can I get for myself now" modes.

This is no different locally, and those politicians who are in office more than 8 years always fall from grace.

I don't think District 4 even gave Tryon a goodbye donut after 28 years of self-service.

Some politicians become victims of alcohol and sexual desire and exert their power to celebrate both addictions.

And then some simply are there to promote their own agenda, like Steve Wilensky. It matters not what political leaning you have, corruption is corruption.

The only answer is short term-limits. And these elected officials will not vote them in themselves, although they could.

Callaway will have nearly what Tryon had before she is through, and what has her agenda been. Destroy all growth, business, jobs and put everyone in her district on welfare.

She has almost succeeded. Ask anyone.

And it's the same in the City of Angels (oh, what a name they chose for themselves). Whether total incompetence or desire to  end all building, the City of Angels is being destroyed by elected officials who rubber stamp every rotten regulation their staff sits and imagines creating.  Very sad.

So, with that in mind, several people have approached us to start a campaign to "clean house" at the City of Angels (what a laugh) council. We've had offers of donations and of other needs during a campaign.

If you are interested, send an email to sierrasentinel@goldrush.com and we'll talk. Someone out there has to care!

There was an appreciation dinner in honor of 40 acres & a mule, Teflon Tom Tryonville outdoor shooting range Tryon. I'm surprised you didn't know.
Will you ask the current supervisors what they have accomplished in the last 6 months? Accomplished means something new, not already in county balloon. If the county supervisors entered a hot air balloon race, they could stay up forever. Do you agree?
