Dear Sierra Sentinel Editor:
Over the weekend I came down Hwy 4 and just before I got to Angels Camp I noticed the Bear Mountain was suddenly "bare" mountain.
Does Sierra Pacific Industries own this mountain too? Are they clear-cutting our entire world?
Will no one consider watershed for our future? I don't know the answers but if anyone can find out, I'm sure its you at the Sentinel; as always the only publication not afraid to print the truth as you see it.
Please find out what is going on in the county; who owns the land and who was given permission to clear-cut?

Pretty sure this was CalFire; some type of traning. Don't know who's land it is, but they sure made a mess.
I agree. It was nearly a month ago, but I remember. they tore out all the trees and everything. Don't know why it was there.
Is that state land on the mountain.
