While smoking may not be a desirable quality in anyone, why would a white police officer threaten, drag, allegedly taser, and then arrest a black woman for refusing to put out her cigarette in her own car?
The reason the officer said he pulled her over was for "failing to signal while changing lanes". Interesting but frightening actions by police officers over and over again in the US.
Does it seem that some law enforcement agencies look for racist, mean-tempered low-lifes to hire?? This is the 28 year old who was to start her new job at the University of Texas yesterday and is now dead!
Did this officer get fired? Heck no! He's on fully paid administrative leave (vacation) while they investigate.
