If you get a chance to watch the District 1 debate on Comcast Channel 9, you will clearly see the difference between Calaveras Supervisor Cliff Edson and Sharon Romano, who is challenging him.
During the question about the ASPHALT plant, Kearney (looking especially mean), re-stated
that he saw no problem and that there will be a minor environmental review after its up and running.
Sharon Romano just shook her head and said Edson did not RESPECT the citizens, and it should NEVER have been allowed without a Conditional Use Permit. Even Ford's gravel plant at that location has a Conditional Use Permit. This is typical Tea Party doctrine; allow the horrid things and stop the good things.
