According to CHP on May 9, 2016 Thomas A. Thurston (26) of Shingle Springs was riding his 2005 Suzuki motorcycle on Hwy 49 near Gold Rush Lane in Placerville at approximately 49 MPH.
Thurston made un unsafe right turn on the motorcycle as he entered a turn in the roadway. The peg on his motorcycle made contact with the roadway and he lost control.
Consequently, Thurston entered the east shoulder and collided with the embankment. He was transported to Sutter Amador Hospital with minor injuries.
