While the Calaveras District 1 debate televised on Channel 9 was well-handled by Dana Nichols, the District 4 debate should never have even been allowed to go on as scheduled.
The most important and qualified candidate for that office, Sherri Smith, had informed Ed Lark of Calaveras Public Access TV that she would be unavailable Mother's Day weekend, but he went on without her.
