At the Calaveras Supervisors meeting on August 23, 2016 Edson the 'Buzzard' pushed to have the CAO Ryan have a study session immediately to appoint a new Office of Emergency Services head in Calaveras County.
While it is true that the head of Emergency Services Edson handled the Butte Fire badly and when he dumped it on the Calaveras Sheriff Kuntz, Kuntz was unable to handle the fire either. In fact, many feel, it was what contributed to his death.
The CAO says they are not ready and the Sheriff's Office is not ready for a study session. Edson was nasty about it. The Sheriff's Office needs more time.
Edson used scare tactics to try and push for a study session and appointment because he said its likely there will be another fire.

Edson was bad. The sheriff was bad. who could they appoint to that job. call the national guard???
