Donald Trump announced today that he is terrified and will therefore not attend the annual White House Correspondence Dinner in April.
One of the most fun events of the year, even stuffy Karl Rove, used to kick up his heels during the dinner. The President, among others usually make fun of themselves and everyone has a great time.

This is no surprise - he only wants "positive" attention and this would definitely been "negative" attention - so no, no attending this fun event.
