It's always nice to visit with Leslie Davis, Calaveras County Assessor, who is such a busy lady fulfilling her county job and community activities. She has been hosting an Assessors state meeting at Ironstone and we appreciated her taking the time to answer some questions.
We asked Davis about the property tax increases some are complaining about. She explained that the 2% per year limit and how it is based on what is happening around your specific property. She also welcomed anyone to call her office at 754-6356 to ask any questions about your assessment.
