UPDATE at 2:20 PM: The highway is now reopened.
UPDATE at 2 PM: One way traffic is now being guided on Hwy 4.
UPDATE: Per CHP, vehicles are making illegal u-turns
on Hwy 4 because of backup, nearly causing more traffic collisions.
UPDATE: The motorcycle actually went
under the semi, oil is leaking onto the roadway
and all lanes are blocked. Avoid the area. Four CHP are at the scene.
August 24, 2018 at 1 PM: A collision has been reported of a motorcycle and a semi truck
colliding on Hwy 4 at Poole Station Road in Angels Camp.
Major injuries have been indicated. The motorcycle apparently went down and skidded into the semi, which then jackknifed into the middle of the roadway.
Tow trucks for both the motorcycle and the 50 thousand lb semi have been dispatched.
Witnesses state that the motorcycle was passing illegally on the right side.
