Assembly Bill 48 passed the Assembly panel of the Public Safety committee yesterday.This bill would regulate ammunition in California, requiring sellers to be licensed and purchasers to show identification.
The Department of Justice would be required to notify local law enforcement of large-quantity purchases of more than 3000 rounds that are made within a five-day period by someone who is "not a police officer."
Of course, someone can buy 2999 and not be reported. How dumb is that?
