Unemployment rate drops to 7.6% for March

   In spite of the lower growth rate in jobs for March as opposed to February, the overall US unemployment rate dropped to 7.6% for the month.

  There are some who feel it could be do to more people dropping out of the work force, instead of growth in jobs, but many say its a sure sign the economy is growing.

   Now if only our local Calaveras County elected officials would do something to end their anti-job policies, perhaps this area could climb out of its depths.

   At this time, however, nearly every business person we have spoken with indicates things are still at a dead stop in business in Calaveras County, and therefore they cannot hire.
