We've heard privately many complaints about the fact that the mostly out-of-state tree removal contractors in the Butte Fire clean up, really cleaned up financially!
In fact we heard that someone had hired a local contractor to remove trees and debris and was then denied by the state.
The contractor hired by the county and or state charged 5 times as much to remove the trees from the land. Then the insurance companies were charged.
One man from District 2 was complaining about these abuses and how much money these companies are making from our DISASTERs. It is now a big business in the U.S.
