Another US base in Okinawa protested

Japan is celebrating its 61st year as a nation after the end of the US occupation following WWII. Some, however are protesting against the US.

The military plans to open a new Marine Corps base in the seaside village of Henoko, Okinawa in 2022, and many residents aren't happy about it.

I guess we should look at it as what if Japan was opening a military base in Santa Cruz, California. I thin there would be some protest to that idea. Well, that's how the Japanese feel.
