Many around the county have been asking if the problem with Greg Gustafson serving as Planning Commissioner of Calaveras County has been resolved.
Or is the Planning Commission still short one District 5 representative? Gustafson has been at Public Comments saying less than friendly things about his fellow trustees at Calaveras Unified.
Does Gustafson actually live in District 5. We aren't sure, but have asked him. Couln't Spellman appoint someone else to the Planning Commission?
Does anyone else find the situation odd?

Maybe, Spellman is abstaining, so he won't provide fodder to be used against him in a re-election campaign?
Maybe, no one else wants to come forward as his representative?
Maybe, people don't know the position is open?
