Calaveras Board of Supervisors meets April 9, 2013

The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors meets next on April 9, 2013 with a total of 22 items.
On the consent agenda are Code Compliance cases on Littlejohn Road in Copperopolis, and on Usher Drive inValley Springs.

Also on Consent is the Resolution we have already been notified by mail of; that the Special District Elections will now be held with the Statewide General Election instead of separately.

In addition, on Consent is a Resolution for a 1% cost to continue to be paid to the Treasurer/Tax Collector for costs of administration.

On the Regular Adenda are CDBG grants for $600,000. Also new furniture for the Sheriff's new office for $200,000 and $150,000. This was apparently budgeted.

The adoption and waiver of the reading requirements of an Ordinance against Short Term Vacation Rentals at Lake Tulloch is on the Regular Agenda.  This may be the last opportunity anyone has to make statements or opinions regarding the wisdom of such an Ordinance until a lawsuit is filed.

The 1:30 PM Study Session is regarding Animal Services.

The 2:30 PM Study Session is about Board Policies and Procedures.  This is totally necessary. Do the newest 3 Board members even realize, however, what bad policies this Board of Supervisors has been following for years?  The public needs to attend this one!  Will the Supervisors allow past offenses to be brought up?

Does it show the current Board Policies and Procedures (for comparison)? Is there a current BPP?
I think the old boards made it up as they went along.
