CHP reports that on April 22, 2013 at around 7:30 AM, Gordon Eugene Sadler (75) of Murphys was working on private property while driving a Kubota tractor when he attempted to exit the vehicle without properly placing it in "park" or engaging the "emergency brake."
As the driver exited the tractor the wheel cuaght hold of his left leg, dragging him to the ground. The left wheel then rolled over the drivers legs, stomach and chest before coming to a stop.
The driver was able to get to his feet and walk to his porch where he notified his wife of the accident.
His wife then called 911 for emergency assistance. Mr. Sadler was transported to Doctors Hospital in Modesto with moderate injuries.
