American Fire continues to Grow

 
As of 2:30 PM on August 17, 2013 the American Fire, which is burning in the Tahoe National Forest is 7,367 acres and is 31% contained.

    Burning in heavy timber is very steep terrain,  USFS has 1,226 firefighters on the lines. The cause is still under investigation.
