On August 27, 2013 at around 4:40 PM, according to CHP, Morley Singer (77) of San Francisco and Bear Valley was traveling in his 2003 Mercedes westbound on Hwy 4 just west of Boards Crossing Road in Dorrington at approximately 50-55 MPH.
Singer made an unsafe right (north) turn in the Mercedes and allowed the car to leave the westbound lane and enter the northbound shoulder.
The Mercedes then collided with a tree on the northbound shoulder. Mr. Singer was transported to Mark Twain Hospital with major injuries.
