The USFS has announced that the Stanislaus National Forest will be closed until the Rim Fire is out.
It is therefore illegal to be within the forest, on a forest road and violation of this order is punishable with a $5000 fine or 6 months in jail.
This is in effect in Tuolumne and Mariposa County and does not affect Calaveras County.
