On August 27, 2013 Stephen Sheldon Brodie (43) of Railroad Flat, was arrested on Simpson
Rd for alleged Conspiracy to commit a crime and extortion by threat of injury, both felonies; and for Obstructing a Public Officer, a misdemeanor.
Brodie was booked into the Calaveras County Jail by Sheriff's deputies.
Also arrested was Richard Gastelum (34) of Railroad Flat for alleged Conspiracy to commit a crime, Extortion by threat, and being a Felon in Possession of a firearm, all felonies.
Gastelum was booked into the Calaveras County Jail and released on bond.
Travis James West (18) of Railroad Flat was also arrested at the same time for alleged Conspiracy to commit a crime and for Extortion by threat of injury, both felonies.
West was booked into the Calaveras County Jail by Sheriff's deputies.
