Calaveras County pays big when they unload employees with problems; the most recent being $80,000 of our tax money.
In San Diego, it is costing the City $98,000 to be rid of Mayor Filner. Seems to me we remember the City of Angels Camp also having to pay off an employee not too long ago.
Our tax money, used to sometimes keep an ex-employee quiet, or to pay their attorneys, or simply to avoid a lawsuit where all kinds of things could be made public. Yes, it's mostly hush money!! Sad, but true!
