Burglary suspect arrested

On August 17, 2013 at around 6:50 PM Calaveras Sheriff deputies responded to a residence
located in the 1200 block of Blagen Road in Arnold.

According to their report, a burglary had been reported by the caretakers at the scene and they had discovered extensive damage to a fifth wheel trailer in the drive-way.

It appeared to be an attempted break-in at several access points to the trailer.  A window to the residence was found pried open with items moved around inside the garage and items missing through the inside of the house.

The caretakers found a male subject hiding inside a shed and held that subject at gunpoint until deputies arrived.

The subject, later identified as 26 year old Curtis Lloyd Blayney (25) of Arnold, claimed to be a passer-by, but evidence discovered inside the residence lead to Blayney's arrest for alleged 460 (A)PC Burglary in the 1st degree, and 664/459PC attempted burglary, both felonies and  594(B)(1) PC both felonies and for Vandalism over $400, a misdemeanor.

Blayney was booked into the Calaveras County Jail.
