August 22, 2013: The only way to get control of these fires is to bring the large planes with retardant and water in immediately. They shouldn't wait several days like they've been doing.
Now that the American Fire is being hit with retardant and water from tanker planes, it is 60% contained. It is now 18,000 acres in size
