August 9, 2013: It has been absolutely shocking to see how fast the Silver Fire near Banning has grown. One fireman was quoted as saying he has never seen a fire grow so fast.
The total acres burned is now 14,000 and the containment is 20%. Over a dozen homes have been destroyed so far.
