After two major fires in two weeks, the most recent the ongoing Silver Fire, the Governor has declared a State of Emergency in Riverside County.
As of 8:45 PM yesterday August 9, 2013 the Silver Fire has destroyed 18,000 acres, 26 homes and a business. It is now 40% contained.
