August 17, 2013: Yesterday about 4:30 PM two fires were reported on Swedes Flat Road and Chinese Wall Road, southeast of Oroville in Butte County.
Named the Swedes Fire one was stopped at 28 acres. the other is now 1200 acres and is only 20% contained as of 9:30 AM today.
Mandatory evacuation orders have been given in the entire area. The cause of both fires is under investigation.
