Mr. Archie Aldis "Red" Emmerson, who Forbes lists as having a net worth of at least two and a half billion dollars, is, through his company, Sierra Pacific Industries, the largest landowner in the State of California.
He has been asked why he feels he has to kill Spotted Owls, and has been asked to stop by Andrew Orahoske, conservation director for the Environmental Protection Information Center.
We have had many ask us who they donate money to in politics, and why the state encourages them to clear-cut. Also people want to know if the Emmersons or their company donate to Republican Congressman Tom McClintock.
We are investigating and will report when we find out.
