According to the Employment Development Department the number of Californians holding jobs in August of 2013 was 16,935,000 a decrease of 53,000.
Therefore, unemployment increased to 8.9 % in August of 2013.
In Calaveras County, of those who still live here, the unemployment is 9.9%.
