What is "Level Of Service" of Calaveras County Roads?

There is a lot of question about how the "level of service" or LOS on Calaveras County roads
is created and whether it is actually in law!!

The Road Ordinance has absolutely nothing in covering Level of Service. This is only a piece of paper in Public Works that Mr. Garcia says is handled one issue at a time. It has A through F grades on roads.

Any many roads, like Pool Station Rd,  have several different LOS on the one road at different places.

It is not in the General Plan, old or new, not in any County ordinance or law or code. The Planning Department and Calaveras Supervisors refer to it as if it was, but its a lie.

For example, Kautz Ironstone Vineyards, who holds mega concerts is located on a 1 lane road with LOS  graded F. But they are allowed to operate. Friends in the right places?

Oh, you mean the Pool Station Road and Six Mile Road are the same "level of service"?

The fact is, you are right!. There is no law or ordinance saying any road is A or F. Only suggestions from Public works. Have you noticed that Six Mile Road, a one-way road, is F, but Ironstone Vineyards is allowed to have giant concerts. This county is so corrupt it stinks. and these two newest Supervisors have now been sucked right up into it. One term only!!! What about recall?

Six Mile rd ahs Level of service c, d, and F. Three levels. But it does not matter because thousands and thousands of people drive there every year and they dont even have a conditional use permit. the county is corruppt and money truly talks.
Tryon was more worried about the Murphys Hotel having a neon sign then a road rated F and zoned ag become the single lragest concert venue in the foothills. Now that's funny!!

you're right about that. nothing ever changes in good ol corrupt Calaveras county. I guess whoever was turned down didn't throw enough money their way. I do remember the neon sign issue. tryon was just jealous cause he didn't own it.

there are thousands of cars a week on the six mile road to ironstone. especially during their concert season. Supervisors don't care about that. only about harassing the nice people who just want to build and live here. Its pretty sick all right.

certainly it proves the lack of consistency in the county. let's face it, we cant blame the planning directors anymmore. It is the BOS.
