Speeding driver injures another deer

September 18, 2013:   At 4:35 PM another deer was reportedly injured by a speeding vehicle on the Murphys Grade
Road.

The poor thing was injured badly with a broken leg, but tried and tried to get away. You know, they have no voice box and can't scream. That doesn't mean it's not in agony because of human carelessness.

Finally it fell down off the roadway, but CHP was sent back out at 5:47 PM that it was still alive on the side of the road. Slow down. The deer families cross it to get to the creek, the only water in the area. Stop torturing our wildlife!!

If you had a $9.99 whistle installed in the front of your vehicle it would warn them. We've spoken to many who use them and they work. They are sold at hardware stores and at AAA. Give the animals a chance!

Thank you, Sentinel, for taking the animals side of things. No one else ever does.
