We just received an update from the USFS on the Rim Fire. The total acreage burned is now 256,169 acres and the containment is 84%. The total cost so far to the taxpayer is $113 million.

You know that's why I pay taxes. Not just to keep roads paved and police paid. I expect our government to be able to assist citizens in times of an emergency! Fires, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornados.. You make it sound like they're stealing YOUR own money. When you should be thankful we do get a bang for our tax buck!
