JoAnn Andersen (Henley) of Angels Camp

On May 6, 2014 JoAnn Andersen (Henley) passed away at Foothill Village in Angels Camp
where she had resided for the last 3 years. She was 80 years old.

JoAnn was born on May 27, 1934 to Max and Estelle Henley of Copperopolis.  She grew up in Copperopolis where she attended grammar school and then attended Bret Harte High School, graduating in 1952.

JoAnn attended college in Stockton where she studied art.  She met and married Bob Andersen from New York, who was then serving in the Navy in San Diego.

They moved back to Copperopolis after Bob was discharged and had a son Keith in 1955 and another son Kirk in 1959.

They moved to Angels Camp where they raised their family. JoAnn was a member of the Golden Platt Art Club and served as an on call matron for the Angels Police Department and the Calaveras Sheriff's Department for about 10 years.

She loved to travel and made more than one trip to Europe.  JoAnn is survived by her two sons, Keith and Kirk, two grandchildren Christine Bauer of Angels Camp and Jason Andersen of Oakdale and three great-grandchildren.

At her request there will be no services, however anyone who wishes to, may donate to Amador/Calaveras Hospice.
