Stockton woman arrested in Angels Camp

   UPDATE on January 15, 2015:  We just learned  that only misdemeanor charges that were alleged.

According to Angels Camp Police, on January 13, 2015 at approximately 4:33 PM, they were dispatched to a report of a possible drunk driver traveling west on Hwy 4 from the Arnold area.


   The caller reported that the driver of a brown Hyundai was all over the road, having difficulty maintaining control of the vehicle with the lane of traffic.

   By the time the call was received and dispatched, the suspect vehicle arrived in the McDonald's parking lot where Angels Camp PD officers located it.

   The driver of the vehicle was still in the vehicle and officers began a DUI investigation.

   Sherri Ann Berg, a 53 year old Stockton Resident, was subsequently arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail for alleged DUI, drugs or alcohol, being Under the Influence of a Controlled substance and Possession of Methamphetamine.

   Per Angels PD, in addition to methamphetamine that was located inside her vehicle, officers found that Berg was in possession of an open bottle of Vodka that was inside of her purse.
