At the January 10, 2017 meeting Rebecca Callen came forward and announced that the county will not have to pay the $800,000 that it believed it would have to pay for grants.
According to Callen, the state of California has agreed to cover that amount, to save the Calaveras taxpayers that money after a mistake by Admin during the grant process.
