Sarah Louise Locke of San Andreas

  Peacefully, Sarah Louise Locke passed away in her sleep on February 23, 2017 while at home in San Andreas, after a courageous battle with cancer.

   She was born on October 16, 1934 in Norwich, New York to Harriett and Gerald Marvin.

   She received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University, Stanislaus and a Masters of Divinity from golden Gate Seminary.

   She was active in the St. Matthew's Church and the San Andreas Loose Threads Quilting Club.

   Sarah is survived by her five children; Charles of Paradise, Levi of Santa Clarita, John of Railroad Flat, Nelson of Lathrop and Sylvia of San Andreas; grandchildren include Nelson II, Brandt, Walter, Tyler, Jessica, Evan, Trustan, Doug, Derek, Davis, Dezjani and Daz.  Great-grandchildren include Sebastian, Makenzie, and Melody. 

   Siblings who preceded Sarah's passing were Edward, Donald, Janice, Becky, as well as daughter Phyllis and grandson Cyril.

   Throughout her ife Sarah overcame many obstacles, pain and barriers to raise her family as a single mom.  The legacy she leaves behind is her loving family who are a living testament to her will and determination.

   You are at peace Sarah and we will all miss you.
