Calaveras County Trapper or Hired Assassin?

Calaveras County pays $66,000 a year to keep a County Trapper on call so that anyone who fears wild animals can call and have them eliminated.

At last week's Board of Supervisors meeting, Gary Caldwell of Valley Springs criticized the program that destroys every animal they come across, even though their program states they are supposed to be supporting the well-being of the wild animals.

He called them "hired assassins" and believes that our tax money should not be spent on such a horrid practice.

Even their so-called rabid animal removal record show they never even test the animals they trap, torture and kill for rabies, according to Caldwell.

The Sierra Sentinel agrees that the County should eliminated the "hired assassins" from the taxpayers payroll.  These horrible people just love killing way too much!!!
