According to CHP on November 21, 2013 around 4 PM they responded to a traffic collision involving an overturned cement truck on Hwy 49 south of the Amador County line.
The report states that a preliminary investigation indicates that the load of dry cement mix shifted as the driver negotiated a curve in the roadway, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Hwy 49 was closed for approximately one hour in order to upright and remove the vehicle.
After the cement truck was removed, one-way traffic controls were in place for a short perod of time while crews continued cleaning and repaired the highway.
Annamaria Aguiar, the driver, was taken to Sutter Amador Hospital with minor injuries.
