Op--Ed The Sierra Sentinel doesn't fall for Calaveras' Tea Party Supervisor Spellman's tactics

We recently experienced emails from District 5's Tea Party Supervisor Spellman claiming how wonderful he was as a Supervisor over the past term.

When we asked for details as to what he had done for his constituents specifically, communication broke down.

He stated that information would not be released until March of 2014, and indicated he was taking the holiday off, and wished us a happy holiday.

He then continued to write ridiculous things as if he thought we would publish them as public statements by Mr. Tea Party himself.

We were clear to him that his insincerity is widely known by us, and he really thinks he can get back into the good graces of the press in time for his re-election.

He was wrong! However, we hear that another publication in the area was ignorant enough to publish his campaign rants.

How much did they charge, since we know that in the past campaign letters are paid as ads?

He probably got it printed because of the insincere statement that he liked their editor. (haha) That puts him and that publication in the same category, nothing but a joke. Most of us got a good laugh out of it.

Sierra Sentinel, be sure to ask all the supervisors what they have done for their constituents this year.
It seems we never get a year end report publicly from them.
A lot of promises not fulfilled. But fun to had by the BOS at our expense. A lot more work, a lot less fun by the BOS would make many a taxpayer happy.
