Man arrested after Strange behavior at UMPQUA bank

   UPDATE at 12:18 PM:  Per Chief Fordhall James Harold Njirich (62) of Columbia was arrested  by Angels Camp Police on February 4, 2014 at approximately 4:45 PM for alleged Violation of Probation, a misdemeanor and a local outstanding warrant.

   Njirich was booked into the Calaveras County Jail by Angels Camp Police and then released for lack of space by the Sheriff's Office.

On February 4, 2014 at around 4:45 PM the Angels Camp police got a call that a man was acting strange, pushing lots of buttons at UMPQUA bank in Angels Camp.

   Police tracked the man to the Travelodge Motel and arrested him on an outstanding local warrant. We have asked Angels Police for more details and will report when they respond.   Apparently he was booked into the Calaveras County Jail and released for lack of space.
