UPDATE: Hwy 4 is now reopened. The injured was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center and the doe was left on the side of the road for Caltrans.
September 25, 2017 at 8 AM: A motorcycle reportedly struck a deer on Hwy 4 just below Forest Meadows.
CHP, 2 firetrucks, a ambulance and two USFS vehicles are at the scene. Injuries to the motorcyclist are minor. The doe was not so lucky. Be careful in the area until cleared.
