Two Copperopolis men arrested--Meth and Stolen Property: Calaveras Sheriff

   According to a Calaveras Sheriff's press release, detectives served a search warrant earlier today, September 26, 2017 for stolen property at two locations in Copperopolis.

   Items positively identified as stolen were recovered from both locations.  Some of the property recovered this morning was stolen from boats around Lake Tulloch as was reported earlier this month.

  At one location in the 3000 block of Signal Hill Trail, deputies requested Code Compliance respond for unsafe living conditions and other miscellaneous code violations.

   At the second location in the 2000 block of Quail Hill Road, 30 year old Joseph Leonard from Copperopolis was arrested for alleged Possession of Stolen Property --496(a) PC, criminal conspiracy -182(a) PC, Possession of Methamphetamine - 11377(a) H&S and probation violation - 1203.2 PC with $20,000 bail.

   A rifle and ammunition were found during the search and an occupant of the residence 63 year old George (Tony" Krajnovich, a convicted felon was arrested for violations of allegedly being a Prohibited person in Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition - 29800(a) PC and 30305 (a) PC with $35,000 bail.

   Both subjects were booked into the Calaveras County Jail.  The Sheriff's Office will be contacting victims regarding the recovered stolen property and update those affected as to when this property can be returned to its rightful owners.
