David Howard White, Inventor

   David Howard White was born to Howard White and Ellen Johnson White September 13, 1933 in Stockton and grew up near Hathaway Pines.

  He began working in the logging industry for Linebaugh, then served in the U.S. Army in Korea.

  David worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in Jamestown and Modesto. He eventually started his own business designing prototypes than automated lasers to the hydraulic systems of heavy
equipment for land leveling.

   David retired back to Calaveras County in 2004, where he built a new home. David was an inventor, he liked to design and build roads and do the groundwork for new structures.
  
   He enjoyed travel, research and attending trade shows in order to stay current on the latest technology. He was always looking for a way to improve a design.  David further enjoyed grilling and deep pit  barbecuing.

      David is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marnelle Reusser White, a son David Edward White of Copperopolis, daughters Lou Ellen Garner of Denair, Beth Salie of Oakdale and a sister Carol Lou Marchette of Pebble Beach.

   Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
