According to CHP on October 27, 2017 at around 5:30 PM Christopher Murray (51) of Lodi was driving a 1998 Mazda on Winton Road at a high rate of speed.
Murray failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the vehicle, leaving the roadway and colliding with a tree. Murray was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision.
Alcohol and or drugs are believed to be a factor in this collision, which is still under investigation.
