Barricaded in Pioneer residence

Earlier today, Calaveras Sheriff's deputies, along with Amador County deputies served a search warrant at a house in Pioneer, looking for items in a Calaveras County robbery in West Point.

Apparently this led to a standoff as 42 year old Jamie Buchanan, barricaded himself inside the home on Meadow Drive.

A SWAT team was able to access the residence and arrest the suspect, who was booked into the Amador County Jail for alleged being a Violent Felon in Possession of Body Armor, and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, both felonies.

His bail is $135,000. Calaveras District Attorney will be likely adding charges after everything is processed in the case.
