On November 16, 2017 a truck and trailer that had been stolen from the Linden Irrigation District yard, was recovered and a suspect was arrested in Paloma by the Calaveras Sheriff's department.
Brett Earl Schmidt (26) of Modesto was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Trespassing, Resisting Arrest and Vehicle theft. Bail is set at $60,000.
