According to CHP on December 16, 2017 around 10:20 PM Taylor Kinsman (31) of Mokelumne Hill was driving a 1992 GMC Sierra on Hwy 26 near Sport Hill Road at an unknown speed.
Due to the driver's unsafe turning movement, he allowed the GMC to leave the south edge of the roadway. As a result, the GMC traveled out of control and collided with the dirt embankment on the north shoulder of Hwy 26. Kinsman was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center for minor injuries.
CHP alleges alcohol appeared to be a factor in this collision. Kinsman was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
