Despite a fireworks ban in Tuolumne County, people apparently bought fireworks in a neighboring County and carried them into Tuolumne County, and in one case set them off, causing agrass fire.
According to CalFire the Green Springs Cal Fire station was called to put out a fire in the 11000 block of Highway 108. One Tuolumne county engine also responded.
The fire was quickly distinguished with no injuries and no estimate dollar amount reported.
