Angels Camp Police arrest Murphys man: Multiple felonies

   According to Angels Camp Police, on November 25, 2017 at around 9:45 PM, an officer observed a Jeep Wrangler heading northbound on Hwy 49 near Copello Drive without a front license plate, and the vehicles oversized tires were protruding beyond the fenders of the vehicle.

   The officer stopped the vehicle on Hwy 49 near Carol Kennedy Drive, where he was identified as 41 year old Murphys resident Christopher Friday, who resides on Darby Russell Road.

  Friday was found to be driving n a suspended license and was issued a citation for driving without a valid license, and they proceeded to inventory the vehicles contents and impound it.

   The K-9 Angels Camp PD had present alerted the officer to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. Located  inside was a handgun that had been reported stolen outside Calaveras County, a second unregistered handgun, 2 knives, 10 syringes, a large rubber band, 3 grams of methamphetamine, ammunition, a digital scale and a marijuana smoking pipe.

   Due to follow up investigation related to the recovered stolen handgun, additional details cannot be released at this time.

   Friday was booked into the Calaveras County Jail for allegedly Carrying a loaded Firearm prohibited as a Felon, Carrying a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Firearm and ammunition by a Felon or Addict, Possessing Controlled Substance while armed, all felonies and for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Receiving Stolen Property, both misdemeanors.

I think marijuana smoking pipes are legal. Did he have any Kleenex that weren't folded properly?
