Apparently the teachers union and Calaveras Unified School District were unable to come to any temporary settlement in their contract dispute last night.
As of October 19, 2017 Mark Campbell, District Superintendent has closed all schools. 134 teachers are now on strike.

So they lose millions from the state instead of properly paying our educators. Cut the top staff, they're useless anyway.
